探析環(huán)境界限理論在中西方的發(fā)展和應(yīng)用

摘要：有關(guān)自然環(huán)境存在界限的理論最早在1972年 Club of Rome的一份報(bào)告 “Limits to Growth”正式提出，隨后在西方世界引發(fā)了有關(guān)于自然各資源是否存在可再生的上限的長(zhǎng)久爭(zhēng)論。隨著生態(tài)危機(jī)的迫近，環(huán)境界限論成功撼動(dòng)了對(duì)不可持續(xù)發(fā)展的經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)模式的信仰，人們開始將衡量經(jīng)濟(jì)成果的目光從數(shù)字轉(zhuǎn)向人類福祉，并最終產(chǎn)生諸如地球界限（ Planetary Boundaries）的具體理論指導(dǎo)。同一時(shí)期內(nèi)，環(huán)境界限理論在中國(guó)雖然有深厚的生態(tài)哲學(xué)基礎(chǔ)，但有關(guān)該理論的探討和應(yīng)用缺乏有效的體系。通過梳理和對(duì)比中西方有關(guān)于環(huán)境界限學(xué)說的研究成果，分析該理論在西方世界得以有效發(fā)展的原因，對(duì)進(jìn)一步探討該理論在中國(guó)促進(jìn) 生態(tài)穩(wěn)定繁榮的可行性有著借鑒意義。

Approaching the Development and Applicationof the Theory of Environmental Limits in China and the West

Abstract: The theoretical discussion about environmental limits was officially addressed in a report commissioned by Club of Rome as early as in 1972: The Limits to Growth. The report has since then triggered a long-standing debate among Western societies on whether there are limits to the availability of environmental resources. With the pressing ecological crisis, the increasing acknowledgement of environmental limits has been successfully destabilizing the prevailing belief in the unsustainable mode of economic growth. The measurement to the economic result is turning away from numbers to human welfare, which has boosted more specific and qualifiable theoretical guidances such as Planetary Boundaries. At the same time, despite its root in the fertile Chinese ecological philosophy, the theory of environmental limits is short of systematic exploration and effective application in China. Through reviewing and comparing researches about the theory of environmental limits in both China and the West, reasons behind the remarkable development of the theory in the West will be analyzed, which will serve as a valuable reference for exploring the feasibility of the theoretical application toward promoting the ecological stability and prosperity in China.

Biography: Junyu Ke (柯君瑜 ) is affiliated with the Western University in Canada as an Graduate and Administrative Coordinator in the Department of Women’s Studies and Feminist Research. She earned a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies from Queen’s University (Canada), and was admitted to the PhD program in the Centre for the Study of Theory and Crticism in Western University, starting at Septermber 2020. Her research interests focus on the interdisciplinary studies of human/nature relationship and the cultivation of ecological consciousness through body movement.
